Rs 27.64 lakh for Ambad MIDC streetlights

NASHIK: The civic body will spend Rs 27.64 lakh to improve the network of streetlights in industrial estate of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) in the current fiscal.
City mayor Yatin Wagh approved the proposal at the general body meeting on Monday. The amount will be spent on replacing around 100 old electric poles with new ones in Ambad MIDC areas.
The NMC had conducted a survey to check the condition of electric poles in Ambad industrial estate, which were erected 20 years ago. Around 240 electric poles were identified in the need to be replaced. The civic body has already replaced around 100 poles, which will soon be fitted with streetlights. The NMC is also replacing another 100 old electric poles with new ones.
