2 killed, 5 injured after lightning strike

BAHRAICH: Two persons died and five injured after lightning struck them at different places in Balrampur district on Sunday. The injured persons have been admitted at different hospitals. Seven cattle also died.
Ramawati (40), a resident of Chainpur Matri village in Jarwa was working in the field on Sunday with her niece Gudiya (20). The rain started and lightning struck them. Ramawati died on the spot while Gudiya was seriously injured.
In another incident, Gowardhan (40), a resident of Sadadeeh went out of the village with buffaloes. He was struck by lightning and died. Two buffaloes also died. Chhangur Yadav (30), a resident of Ratanpur was seriously injured when lightning struck him. He was admitted at Tulsipur CHC. Ghulam Khan (60), a resident of Sonpur Dhutkahwa and his wife Sakeena (55) were going to work in the field with their grandson Akbar Ali. They were injured when lightning struck them.
