Pagani Zonda Revolucion Video: Turn Up Your Speakers

You'd think, with production of the Pagani Huayra in full swing, the company would have finally put the many iterations of its Zonda out to pasture. Not a big of it though—the Zonda is still held in high regard by gearheads the world over, and they're just the sort of people who should appreciate YouTube user Marchettino's new video of the Pagani Zonda Revolucion being put through its paces.

The Revolucion, of course, is no normal Zonda. That much is apparent from its race car scream and unhappy idle. Its 6.0-liter AMG-derived V-12 engine is good for a full eight hundred horsepower in this format. Hypercars from Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche all need electric power to climb past that kind of output. The last-Zonda-until-Pagani-builds-another-last-Zonda does it all with atmospheric aspiration, and does so in a 2,360-lb package—100 lbs lighter than a Mazda MX-5!

What it can't do, which those other hypercars (and the Miata) can, is be driven on the road. Like the Zonda R it's based on, the Revolucion is track-only. But if you watch, or even listen to the video, that's not such a bad thing—it just means the driver is free to explore the Zonda's attributes at greater speeds. And, with only five in existence (at $2.8 million a pop), the appearance of two in one place on this particular track is rather special.
