Girl sedated, gangraped in Unnao

KANPUR: A 20-year-old girl from Jindkheda village in Maurawan in Unnao district has alleged that she was sedated and gang-raped by four youth of same village on Friday night. The incident occurred when she went out to answer nature's call. She got fainted after the incident. The incident came to light when the girl regained consciousness and returned home early on Saturday morning.She told about it to her parents. The family members approached Maurawan police. A case of sexual assault (gangrape), abduction and poisoning under IPC had been registered against accused Hira Singh, Putla Singh, Virendra and Narendra.
The girl said Hira Singh, Putla Singh, Virendra and Narendra forcibly gave her sedatives and she lost consciousness.
"She told us that she was gagged and sedated. They dragged her to a secluded spot and raped her. The girl has been sent to district hospital for medical examination. A case of gang-rape, abduction and poisoning has been registered," a police official said. SO Maurawan said the investigation was on and police teams are looking for the accused.
