Pawan Kumar and Sowmya overwhelmed

Director Pawan Kumar was much appreciated by the film industry and audiences for his film Lucia. The director, who was present at the Filmfare Awards South recently, said, "“Usually a director thanks the audience for watching the film, but in my case, I have to thank them for making it.” The director said this after winning the Best Director award for Lucia (Kannada film industry’s first crowd-funded film).The film is now being remade in Tamil.
On the other hand, singer Sowmya Raoh won the Best Singer Female Award. "“This is my first ever Filmfare after my debut close to 20 years ago. This is truly a special moment for me,” she said, after winning the Best Singer Female award for Karagida Baanalli from Simplag Ondu Love Story
