HYDERABAD: Tension prevailed at Sitarampet in Mangalhat after locals started constructing a wall around a small temple without any permission from the civic authorities on Sunday evening. Police registered a case against Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh and his associates.
The incident happened at a Shiva temple at Sitarampet. At 3 am, locals started constructing a three-foot compound wall around the structure.
As the temple authorities did not have any permission for the construction, police intervened and put a stop to it.

Meanwhile, local MLA Raja Singh reached the spot with his associates and accused the cops of forcibly removing the wall. Under the MLA's supervision, locals again began constructing the wall, but later DCP, West Zone, V Satyanarayana, convinced the locals to clear the entire construction as they do not have permission. Mangalhat police registered a case against Raja Singh and 20 of his associates under sections 447, 427 and 188 r/w 149 of the IPC. A platoon of Rapid Action Force (RAF) and law and order police have been deployed at the site. to prevent any untoward incident.
