Richo new Arunachal Congress chief

Itanagar: Senior Congress leader Padi Richo has been appointed the president of Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect. He replaced Mukut Mithi who was elected to the Rajya Sabha for a second consecutive term.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi approved the appointment on Friday in New Delhi, a party release said here on Saturday.
Apart from being a cabinet minister and MLA from Ziro Hapoli constituency, Richo had held different positions like AICC member and vice-president of Pradesh Congress Committee and national executive member of Indian Youth Congress among others.tnn
