ALLAHABAD: A doctor sustained critical injuries after two persons created ruckus and attacked him when he refused to prescribe the medicines they were asking. The doctor was attacked while he was attending patients at TB Sapru (Beli) Hospital under Cantonment police station on Saturday.
On getting the information, the police reached on the spot and nabbed the culprits.
The doctor has been admitted in a semi-conscious state at the same hospital. According to reports, Dr Mahendra Kumar was attending his patients at TB Sapru (Beli) Hospital and there was a long queue of patients waiting outside his room. The two assailants, Mohd Naseer and Mohd Farman, standing at the end of the queue, forcibly entered the doctor's the room by jumping the queue, despite several protests by other patients.
Dr Kumar too asked Naseer to come as per his turn but Naseer insisted on prescribing him some medicines which the doctor immediately refused.
Thereafter, the duo allegedly beat the doctor and created a ruckus until the police reached there and arrested them. An FIR has been lodged for the same.
