Dubey slams Soren govt for ignoring development in Deoghar
Dumka: The inaugural function of the shrawani mela turned out to be a platform for heated exchange of words with BJP Godda MP Nishikant Dubey accusing the JMM government of ignoring development in Deoghar and state ministers defending Soren and his cabinet.
Infuriated over the abnormal delay in completing various development projects, Dubey came down heavily on Soren government and said it failed to live up to its promises of providing proper facilities to the pilgrims.

Referring to the construction of the 40 crore mega queue complex at the Baidyanath Dham, Dubey said the state government failed to start the construction work despite the central government's assistance worth Rs 25 crore.
Notably, President Pranab Mukherjee had laid the foundation stone for the construction of the mega queue complex during his last visit of the temple town.
The state government is supposed to share the financial burden of Rs 15 crore for the construction of the complex which, once completed, would prove to be a land mark in terms of providing shelter to the pilgrims from sun and rain.
As of now, the pilgrims are compelled to queue up in long serpentine queues which some time extends to over five to six km as they wait for hours for their turn to enter the temple premises. This leaves them exhausted as they come walking all the way from Sultanganj in Bihar. The concept of the mega queue complex with centralized air conditioning system was the brain child of Dubey and the plan promised smooth darshan for the devotees with regulated and timed queues.

Dubey, an arch rival of JMM leadership, said the prevailing adversities faced by the pilgrims will send a wrong message about the state across the country.
"Deoghar has the potential to emerge as the cultural capital in the eastern part of the country and a favourite tourist destination," he said, adding that the Soren government was indifferent to the plight of the pilgrims.
Dubey also criticized the government for its apathy to constitute a shrawani mela authority for Deoghar and Basukinath which, according to him, would ensure suitable facilities to the revelers. The district administration, Dubey said, did not have sufficient resources to managing the month-long affair.
