Sanaulla Bari, son of the retired bureaucrat, fired his double-barrel gun on Friday to disperse angry mob who gheraoed his house after clash over sexual harassment of a girl.

Bari, instead of informing police about the protest, opened fire injuring nine villagers of Romi who were taken to the Sadar hospital at Hazaribag. DSP Ashoke Kumar Singh said police recorded cases of 13 persons, including retired ADM Abdul Bari and his neighbour Abdul Qayum for allegedly instigating the 11 persons for opening fire on the mob not only for scaring the mob by opening fire from his licensed gun.

However the retired ADM Abdul Bari and Md Qaiyum who were also named in the FIR could not be produced in the Court as none of them could be arrested despite their names ​being included in the ​FIR but could not be arrested. Meanwhile all the injured villagers of Romi who were hospitalised are recovering in the hospital.
