A team of Indore Mahila Thana has been sent to Vishakhapatnam to carry out investigations in a dowry harassment case lodged by a former air hostess against her navy officer husband in 2013.

INDORE: A team of Indore Mahila Thana has been sent to Vishakhapatnam to carry out investigations in a dowry harassment case lodged by a former air hostess against her navy officer husband in 2013.
The team has already reached the port city to investigate the case lodged by former air hostess of a private airliner, Anu Singh.
A resident of Annapurna area, Anu Singh was married to Bharat Singh, a navy officer in 2012, but returned home after few months due to alleged harassment for dowry by her husband.

Subsequently, she lodged a complaint against her husband at Mahila Thana in Bhopal and a case was registered under Section 498 of IPC.
Later, investigations in the case were transferred to Indore Mahila Thana. "We've sent a team for investigations to Vishakhapatnam, where the naval officer Bharat Singh is presently posted," investigating officer and Indore Mahila Thana inspector in charge Jyoti Sharma said on Saturday.
Robbers make abortive attempt to loot ATM: Unidentified robbers made a futile attempt to strike at Bank of Baroda ATM in Bhawarkuan area early on Saturday. The robbers attacked the security guard to barge into the ATM kiosk.

The matter came to light when residents spotted 28-year-old security guard Bunty Sharma lying unconscious.
The bleeding security guard was rushed to the hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical. Bhawarkuan police station in charge PS Ranawat, on the spot investigations have revealed that the CCTV camera installed at the ATM was damaged badly. Attempts were made to loot the ATM, but the robbers didn't succeed.
"A loot case has been registered against unidentified persons and we are waiting to record statements of the injured security guard for investigations in the case," Ranawat added.
