TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The House of Representatives’ (DPR) Law Commission member, Ruhut Sitompul, supported the Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) request that they do not want Busyro Muqoddas to be replaced by another person after he finishes his term in December 10, 2014. “It is better that the situation is viewed from the KPK’s perspective,” said Democrat Party politician when he was contacted on Saturday, July 12.
Busyro is ahead of other KPK leaders in ending his term, they will end their terms on December 14, 2015. Different with Busyro who entered the commission in advance; because he replaced former KPK chief Antasari Azha who was fired after he was convicted for the murder of Nazruddin Zulkarnaen, main director of PT Putra Rajawali Banjaran.
KPK chief Abraham Samad viewed that the person to replace Busyro will not be able to immediately work as a team with the four KPK leaders. “It is hard to build the chemistry again. It took us five years to build it. It will be difficult and hampering if there is a new person to come,” he uttered.
KPK’s wish on [merely having] four commissioners has been conveyed to the President and Ministry for Law and Human Rights. However, “It hasn’t been responded yet,” he said.
