KOLAR: Police had a tough time tracking down five students of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore who went missing at Antharagange Hills in Kolar on Saturday afternoon. They combed the hills for nearly three hours with the help of forest and fire personnel.
Kolar Rural sub-inspector Devendrappa told STOI that Preetham Bose, Arghya Rai, Hirnya Sonawala, Abhishek Chatterjee and Dyut K Sill came to the Antharagange Hills around noon.
After lunch near a temple, they went around the hills. A group of monkeys chased them and the youths went helter-skelter and lost their way. They tried to establish contact with their friends but there were no mobile signals.
