Saffron at JW Marriott Chandigarh is hosting Kashmiri Food Festival for the Tricity yet again, inviting guests to entice their taste buds with a delicious spread of authentic traditional Kashmiri cuisine. Now you can indulge in Wazwan, the traditional Kashmiri cooking which is rich and aromatic.
Wazwan preparation is considered an art, and Kashmiris regard Wazwan as the pride of their culture. Chef Rayees and his team from Kashmir are treating guests to authentic Kashmiri delicacies like Chicken Kanti, Mutton Ghustaba, Aab Gosht, Chicken Apricot, Fish Mug Gurd, Paneer Kalyar, Nadru Korma, Haak Saag, Tabak Maaz, Kashmiri Kahawa and Kashmiri Phirnee etc.
Says Chef Pallav Singhal, executive chef, JW Marriott Chandigarh, "In a country like India where culture defines diversity, connecting with each other through food is indeed a celebration. Preparing Kashmiri meal demands dedication and passion. The detailed preparation of delicacies and their traditional presentation adds to the charm of authentic Kashmiri cuisine. The sumptuous Kashmiri cuisine is famous for gracious use of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, saffron,
fennel, asafoetida; which fire up the taste buds.
Exemplifying the overwhelming spirits of Kashmir, each guest is welcomed by the traditional Kashmiri drink, hot cinnamon tea with almond base called Kahwa.
The restaurant is done up in beautiful décor with antique Kashmiri props and music.
Enjoy the meal every night between 7.30pm to 11.30pm from July 5th to July 13.
