JAMMU, July 10: Police today seized around 200 kilograms of banned forest produce ‘nagchatri’ and arrested three persons hailing from Punjab.
As per police sources, police party from police post Bhalla laid a special naka at Danda Bhalla and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number HP57-0179.
During checking, police seized 190 kilograms of banned forest produce ‘nagchatri’ and arrested three persons, who have been identified as Lal Hussain, son of Mohammad Hanief of Sangra Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, Talib Hussain, son of Mohammad Shafi of Bewal Manjan, Tehsil Mukerian, District Hoshiarpur, Punjab and Bashir Mohammad, son of Mohammad Mussa of Mirpur, district Gurdaspur, Punjab.
A case under FIR No 94/14 under Section 379 RPC and 6-Forest Act has been registered at police station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
