As BroadwayWorld reported in May, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical will hit the West End's Aldwych Theatre in early 2015, and the Daily Mail writes that "a British actress is being sought to portray Carole".

This means the incredible Jessie Mueller, who won a Tony Award this year for her portrayal of the music icon, will not be appearing in London, but the other New York stars "are staying put", writes the Mail's Baz Bamigboye.

BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL received seven Tony Award nominations this year, winning two (one for Mueller and one for Sound Design). The new musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, is currently playing on Broadway at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street), following a critically acclaimed, sold-out World Premiere in San Francisco. The show officially opened on Sunday, January 12, 2014.

On Broadway, Jessie Mueller stars as 'Carole King', joined by Jake Epstein as 'Gerry Goffin', Anika Larsen as 'Cynthia Weil', Jarrod Spector as 'Barry Mann', Jeb Brown as 'Don Kirshner' and Liz Larsen as 'Genie Klein'

With a book by playwright and Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Douglas McGrath, direction by Marc Bruni and choreography by Josh Prince, Beautiful features a stunning array of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil.
