Italian second seed Sara Errani needed just 81 minutes to book her place in the quarter-finals of the Nurnberger Gastein ladies in Bad Gastein on Thursday.
The world number 14 eased past her 96-ranked opponent Paula Ormaechea of Argentina 6-3 6-0, breaking her opponent seven times in the process.
Errani will next face Chanelle Scheepers after the South African defeated sixth seed and home favourite Yvonne Meusburger 4-6 6-1 6-2.
American qualifier Shelby Rogers continued her superb win with a 6-4 6-0 thrashing of third seed and world number 16 Carla Suarez Navarro, while seventh seeded Italian Camila Giorgi beat Austria's Lisa-Marie Moser 6-0 6-2.
