It was an earnest attempt made by a group of amateur artistes to showcase their acting skills in their debut film ‘A part of the trap’, directed by city-based short filmmaker Srisomesh.

At the premier of the 38-minute short-film, screened at one of the city hotels here on Thursday, the film narrates how a team of four youngsters fall into a trap while hunting for jobs.

The theme portrays how the present generation youth keen on making a quick buck take to crimes like kidnap and murder. And in the process, they fall into their own death trap.

However, the film has scope of improvement in terms of editing and screenplay. “Currently, we are only planning to upload in YouTube. In future, we are planning to shoot the movie as a feature film. It’s the first time we have experimented with new breed of actors. As we have a long way to go, we feel that the whole experience is part of our learning process,” director of the movie Srisomesh said.

While editing, screenplay and direction is taken care by Srisomesh, the movie is produced by Sree. Murali Jajula, Vivek Reddy, Siva Sahu, Ugesh and Sri Lakshmi played the lead roles. Among others, star-maker L. Satyanand and RJ Veeru Mama of V-Team also spoke.
