An 81-year-old woman has appeared in court accused of causing death by dangerous driving following a crash in Fife in November.

Former showjumper Jacqueline Low-Mitchell is alleged to have caused the death of Adam Maxwell.

The crash happened on the A916 near Craigrothie, south of Cupar, at about 11:45 on 13 November.

Mrs Low-Mitchell, who was towing a horsebox at the time, made no plea or declaration and the case was continued.

She appeared on petition at Dundee Sheriff Court.
