Plug loopholes in land registration

July 09, 2014 09:55 pm | Updated May 24, 2016 04:33 pm IST

I would like to request the Chief Minister to introduce unique registration system for lands. There are many encroached plots and vacant lands in Hyderabad and its surrounding areas. There are multiple people claiming land ownership and nobody, including the government, seems to know about the genuine owner. There must be a unique system where already registered land cannot be registered by any other person until the owner gives permission. A number of people are suffering because of this issue and if such a system is introduced in our entire State then it would be very beneficial.

Kapra, a picture of neglect

I would like to bring to the notice of the Chief Minister, the condition of the roads in Kapra municipality area, which are in bad shape. The way the pipeline work is being executed in the area is pathetic. Trees are being felled, concrete roads are dug and debris not cleared thereby increasing the pollution in the area. The authorities are ill-prepared for monsoon and at many places there is water stagnation increasing the chances of spread of diseases apart from causing traffic congestion. I request the CM to kindly direct the concern authorities to work out a permanent solution for the sake of residents of the Kapra area.

Child labour rampant

Even after innumerable awareness programmes there are still many places where minors can be seen working. Children are forced to become bread winners for their families. Necessary steps should be taken so that the parents of these children realise the value of education and if required, employment should be provided to the parents so that they don’t send their children to work.

Introduce lane system

Movement of vehicles on the city streets is in a haphazard manner. Hyderabad police should make lane system compulsory and the only way is to build divider separating the flow of Light Motor Vehicles, buses and two or three wheelers. The most important factor in the traffic movement is the safety of pedestrians. We should provide wide footpaths with side railing so that pedestrians need not come on to the road. This can be started initially in places like Secundrabad station or any other crowded areas.
