Playing an extrovert was tough as I am the opposite in real life
Actress Aishwarya Devan, who was last seen in V K Prakash’s Jayasurya-starrer, Thank You, is currently busy juggling projects in Sandalwood.
After her recent Kannada release, Jay Lalitha, which is based on Dileep’s Mayamohini, Aishwarya is gearing up for two more films in Kannada — Shankara and Ayya 2.
She is paired opposite Srinagar Kitty in Praveen Nayak’s Shankara and Chiranjeevi Sarja in Om Prakash Rao’s Ayya 2.
Both the movies, which are love stories, will see her in a bold avatar.
“In both the movies, I play an extrovert. While I have two shades to my character in Shankara, my character in Ayya 2 is very outspoken,” says the Simhasanam actress. Surprisingly, Aishwarya reveals that she is just the opposite in real life. “I’m an introvert in real life! So playing an extrovert on screen was very tough, as my character is somebody who would yell and abuse people,” she says, adding that Ayya 2 helped her portray her character in Shankara.
“Om Prakash helped me work on my character well. He gave me a lot of classes and workshops to get into the skin of my character. Now, after the two Kannada movies, I am confident to take up more such roles,” she says.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya is also awaiting the release of her Tamil movie, Anegan, with also stars Dhanush, Karthik and Amyra Dasthur. “I play the second lead role in the movie,” she says.
