KOZHIKODE: Kudumbashree officials attached to the Kozhikode corporation on Tuesday conducted a site inspection in the city to find a suitable place to set up the first Cafe Kudumbashree outlet.
A team led by the Kudumbashree project officer visited a location at Mavoor Road and are also considering another space available on the new KSRTC bus terminal on the same stretch. Kudumbashree plans to write a letter to KSRTC regarding this.
The Kudumbashree Mission has directed its district coordinators to zero- in on a location to set up the first Cafe Kudumbashree outlet in the district.

In the first phase of the initiative, the mission plans to set up a total of 60 outlets across the state.
A batch of 56 Kudumbashree members has already received two weeks' training from Thrissur-based Adebha Institute for Food Research and Hospitality Management (AIFRAM) to run the outlets.
Kudumbashree project officer M V Ramsi Ismail said the outlets would be set up at a space of 2,000 to 3,000 square feet.
"The location at Mavoor Road has been considered ideal for the cafe which will be modelled along the lines of Indian Coffee House. A list of selected locations will be submitted to the State Kudumbashree Mission by July 10," he said.
"Our main aim is to set up the first outlet in the corporation limits by August," he said.
