Three Telugus in top10 in final JEE ranks

None of the toppers from JEE Advanced results figured in the top 10 ranks

Hyderabad: Three Telugu students have made it to the top 10 of the final ranks released by the CBSE as against five among the top 10 in the JEE Advanced marks.
D. Srilekha secured second rank while P. Sindhuja and M. Nikhil Harsha bagged the seventh and ninth ranks respectively in the final list after normalisation.

However, the five toppers, according to the JEE Advanced marks, didn’t figure in the final top 10 ranks.

The ranks are released after normalization with the results of the 12th Board marks. Second ranker D. Srilekha had scored 327 in the JEE Advanced and was 471st while
seventh ranker P. Sindhuja had scored 335 marks and was ranked 342nd according to the Advanced marks.

M. Nikhil Harsha had scored 321 in the JEE Advanced results released last month and was ranked 745th.

The results will once again spark a fierce debate on the normalisation process being adopted by the CBSE.

None of the toppers from JEE Advanced results figured in the top 10 in the ranks published by the Board.

Eamcet Engineering topper N. Pavan Kumar had secured the ninth highest marks in JEE Advanced but failed to breach the top 10 and so did C. Sai Chetan who was ranked
10th in Eamcet and second in JEE Advanced.

The normalisation process adopted uses the percentile in the state boards and JEE Advanced.

However, despite the comparative ease of scoring marks in the Intermediate exams in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, only three could make it the top 10.

This is also owing to their extremely good performance in the Intermediate exams.
