ISLAMABAD  - Captain Junaid Younas, managing director of Pakistan International Airline Corporation (PIAC), has went on a long leave and now Shah Nawaz Rehman has been appointed as acting MD PIAC.
According to a statement released by PIAC, the managing director of national airline is on long leave till 7th August and the management has decided to give the acting charge of this office to Shah Nawaz Rehman.
Although Rehman has been given the acting charge yet he might continue his new duties further, sources said. In the past, Captain Junaid was given the acting charge of managing director of PIAC when he was working as deputy MD at the time of the resignation of former MD PIAC, Air Chief Marshal (Retd) Rao Qamar Suleman. Later he was given the permanent charge of managing director.
Moreover, the PIAC management has decided to give the acting charge of director marketing to Rashid Aziz who was working as general manager marketing.
The notifications in this regard have been issued, says a press statement.
