LAUNCHING OF THE ANTI-CORRUPTION AWARENESS DAY CAMPAIGN AND THE PRINCIPLES OF LIFE & ANTI-CORRUPTION CLUB (POLAC)

UCSI University in partnership with the UCSI Poll Research Centre is launching the Anti-corruption Awareness Day Campaign and the Principles of Life & Anti-Corruption Club (POLAC) on July 10, 2014. The campaign aims to raise awareness and educate UCSI University students, staff and members of the public on the issue of corruption.
The campaign and launch will feature distinguished guest, Yang Berhormat Senator Datuk Paul Low Seng Kuan, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department who will deliver the keynote address and officiate the Anti-Corruption Awareness Day campaign and the Principles of Life & Anti-Corruption Club (POLAC).

In line with the campaign, a forum titled, “Corruption and What We Can Do” will also be held before the event. It will feature Dato’ Hisham Nordin, Director of NKRA Against Corruption, Dato’ Professor Dr Chin Yew Sin, Deputy Secretary General of The Federation of Chinese Association Malaysia (Huazong) and Dr Loi Kheng Min, Secretary General of Transparency International, Malaysia. The forum will also reveal the results of a survey by the UCSI Poll Research Centre on the students’ perception on corruption, their confidence about the government’s efforts in combating corruption, and if they have personally experienced corruption, among other questions.
