ALLAHABAD: The foundation stone of Sopan Marg at the historic Lakshagrah in Handia tehsil was laid on Sunday. Many saints and seers were present on the occasion and pledged for the development of Lakshagrah area to give impetus to religious tourism. Lakshagrah, located in the Handia district, is a mythological place associated with Mahabharata. It is believed that there was a large palace in which Pandava brothers Yudhistir, Bhim, Arjun, Nakul and Sahdev and their mother Kunti lived.
Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevananda Saraswati, Swami Hari Chaitnaya Brahmachari Maharaj and others were present. The chief guest was MLC Yagya Dutt Sharma.
