Gatherings to be held in Pakistan in solidarity with Palestinians
PLF leaders Muzaffar Hashmi, Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani, Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, Azhar Hamedani, Mehfooz Yar Khan, Shehzad Mazhar and Sabir Karbalai briefed reporters on their programs’ details at a press conference in Karachi.

They explained that as a result of terrorism the entire Muslim world had been left to bleed. They stressed that through a series of proxies it is Islam which is targeted.

They added that at such a time as the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims should strive to profess tolerance and harmony throughout the Muslim Ummah, in keeping with Islam’s principles of peace.

They slammed international community for failing to protect Palestinians and called on all Muslims to exert pressure on their respective governments to help bring about freedom to Palestine. They asserted the fact that all Muslims had a duty toward Al Quds and Palestine.

The pro-Palestinians Pakistani leaders declared that the Palestine Foundation of Pakistan decided to observe a month-long public mobilization campaign under the slogan: “Al Quds is calling; Wake up Muslims for God’s sake.” They appealed to the people of Pakistan to largely participate in al-Quds rallies across the country on Friday July 25 (Ramadan 26).

They added that conferences, roundtables and exhibitions would also be held in Karachi, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Quetta and Multan at the eve of Al Quds day stressing that political leaders, intellectuals and civil society’s leading figures would speak.

They also express concern over the rise in terrorist attacks in Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and other Muslim countries. They said that all terrorists pose a threat to Muslims unity. They urged Muslims to establish unity and reject the forces of fanaticism and terrorism. They called for practical steps to be taken by Muslim rulers to end the ongoing silence over the Palestinian issue.
