Baghdad, September 9, 2023, SPA — A Saudi delegation from the Shura Council’s Saudi-Iraqi Parliamentary Friendship Committee, chaired by Dr. Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Qannas, begins an official visit to the Republic of Iraq,
Al-Qannas said the visit to Iraq reflects historic, deeply rooted Saudi-Iraqi relations which the two countries are keen to improve in all fields. He cited the importance of maintaining constant coordination between the Saudi and Iraqi legislatures, emphasizing the importance of activating meetings of the friendship committees in both chambers.
He also said that the committee will hold meetings with senior Iraqi officials and lawmakers and will discuss with them parliamentary relations and ways to enhance them.
