Baahubali sets a new pre-release record in Nizam

S S Rajamouli's Baahubali has breaking almost every record, in terms of pre-release business, nearly a year before the film's first part hits the screens. Recently, there were rumours that the distribution rights for Ceded and Karnataka were sold for nearly Rs 23 crores. If that isn't shocking enough, the latest buzz is that the distribution rights for Nizam region alone have been sold for a whopping Rs 25 crores.
Considering the fact that the biggest blockbusters so far like Magadheera and Atharintiki Dharedhi haven't been able to cross Rs 25 crores in their full run in Nizam region, this latest development has come as a big surprise to the audience and industry alike. What's even more interesting is that this is the deal only for the first part, which makes it the biggest risk anyone has ever undertaken. Directed by Rajamouli, the film has Prabhas, Anushka, Rana and Tamannaah in lead roles. Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni are producing this big budget period action drama under Arka Media Works banner. M M Keeravani is scoring the music.
