KPs condemn, ridicule statement of Mufti Bashir-ud-Din

JAMMU, July 4: Various KP organizations have strongly condemned the statement of Mufti Bashir-ud-Din opposing the return of Kashmiri Pandits to Valley and said that no body on earth can stop Pandits to return to Valley.
All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of R K Raina strongly condemned the statement of Mufti and termed it biased, communal, impeachable and preposterous.
Mr Raina maintained that KPs are original inhabitants of the Valley having a recorded history of over 5000 years so no power on earth can stop them from returning and choosing a place for their settlement in Valley.
He said KPs will themselves decide under what way and what circumstances they want to return. He reminded Mufti that common ancestral background of both the communities in Valley is a Kashmiri Pandit.
Various KP organizations in a meeting at Jagti also condemned the statement of Mufti Bashir-ud-Din and termed it highly objectionable. The meeting was held under the leadership of Pintoo Ji, President  Jagti Migrants Welfare Committee. It strongly condemn the ridiculous statement of Mufti which clearly indicates that the return of KPs to the Valley in Zones is not acceptable. This shows inner radicalism and fanaticism of grant Mufti.
He said son Mufti Nusal Islam also stated that Pandits were not forced to leave the Valley and “I ask him that has he forgotten the objectionable and humiliating slogans given by Kashmiri Muslims in mosques and while taking massive procession during 1989-90. The slogan of administering the Valley through the Nizame Mustafa was the eco every where while brutal killing of KPs, harassment of KP women by threatening them to leave the Valley or face the dire consequences. These slogans created a fear psychosis in the minds of Pandits, he added. He said Pandits are the aborigines of Kashmir and whole Kashmir belongs to them to which history is a testimony.
He said it was the people like grand Mufti which forced the Pandits to leave Valley and sabotaged their return by engineering the massacres like Wandhama, Sangrampura, Nadimarg etc.
Veer Ji Belove of Jagti Migrants Welfare Committee said, that the statement is against the communal harmony and the ideology of sofism .These statements of different Muslim fundamental organizations reminds of the early 1989-90 days and forced Pandits to demand a separate homeland within Valley.
Those who spoke included Sanjay Raina of (JCC), Roshan Lal Raina (Voice of KPs),  Ravi  Ji, Poshkar Nath, Kundan Lal, Roshan Lal Bhat, Satish Kumar, Bal Ji, Ramesh Kumar.
