It’s going to be a shopping and entrainment extravaganza for denizens under one roof shortly as Sri Venkateswara Trade Fair will begin from July 15 at PWD Grounds here.
An exclusive entertainment park for children and separate stalls for foodies, students and shoppers will be put up at the exhibition that will remain open up to 60 days. A replica of Amarnath shrine in Jammu and Kashmir will be developed at the venue to make visitors familiar with the yatra, says organiser Garimella Nanaiah Chowdhary. He says works were on at a brick space to put up at least 150 stalls for selling handloom and handicrafts, readymade garments and artificial jewellery. Separate counters will also be set up to serve lip-smacking varieties of food. Thirty types of amusement rides for children, boating etc will be added attractions.
Another highlight of the fair is that a stall was allotted to real-estate developers to disseminate information about ongoing developmental activities in A.P after bifurcation. A stall for engineering students will provide information on admissions and the status of colleges in the State. Stalls for selling books and latest electronic gadgets would be established to cater to the needs of visitors. “We want to make the exhibition on par with annual Numaish that is organised at Exhibition Grounds in Nampally, Hyderabad every year,” claims Mr. Chowdhary.
Close to 400 people hailing from Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar are involved in making the exhibition a grand success. “We are laying due focus on security.
Seventeen surveillance cameras will be installed to keep a watch on the movement of public.
