Bigg Boss was a mistake: Aseem Trivedi

Aseem Trivedi, the cartoonist, who shot into fame for his controversial cartoon on anti-corruption in 2011, has said that accepting the offer of the reality show Bigg Boss was his biggest mistake. Just a year after the controversy, Trivedi was asked to participate in Bigg Boss-6, which he did thinking it could be a springboard to spread his views.

But, recently, when we met him at an event, he said, “It was a mistake to participate in Bigg Boss.I thought I would use the show to propagate my views, but exactly the opposite happened. They used me to ratchet up the show’s TRP. Jitna bhi Bigg Boss house mein hota tha uska sirf 25% dikhaya jata tha. I feel like, in hindsight, I shouldn’t have agreed in the first place to participate.”
