A tribute to RD Burman, Pachattare Pancham — A Yaadon Ki Baraat, which was held at a city auditorium recently, saw veteran singer Shailendra Singh perform for the first time in Kolkata.
A tribute to RD Burman, Pachattare Pancham — A Yaadon Ki Baraat, which was held at a city auditorium recently, saw veteran singer Shailendra Singh perform for the first time in Kolkata.
He set the tone for the evening with songs like Hamne tumko dekha, Hoga tumse pyara kaun, Jaane do na and Kero mama with Jolly Mukherjee. Singh also shared anecdotes and his personal experiences of working with the legend.
SudeshBhonsle and Jojo, too, rendered songs like Sun mere bandhu re, Mehboobamehbooba, Yehjomohabbathai and an electrifying medley of four songs from Hum KisiseKumNaheen. Up next, AbhijeetBhattacharya got the crowd swaying with songs like Hume tumsepyaarkitna, Yehkyahua, O majhi re and Jaanejaandhoondtaphirrahaa with Jojo. The event came to an end with the audience joining in to sing Yaadonkibaraat along with all the singers.
