Police station to go online
JHANSI: A four-day workshop on 'Crime and criminal tracking network system (CCTNS)' was held at the police lines from June 30 to July 3. Police personnel were trained on how to use the software.
This is part of a state-wide project in which 1,500 police stations across UP will go online. The data will be linked to National Crime Record Bureau and help in tracking crime nation-wide.
To avail these services, one has to get registered online and can avail the facilities.

Once all the police stations get connected through internet, one can lodge an FIR sitting at home and watch the proceedings online or apply for an arms licence. One can get a character certificate and or get the credentials of servants verified with just a click of a button.
The workshop was inaugurated by DIG Jhansi range Prashant Singh. All the 26 police stations in Jhansi will be connected online within next three months.
