Much sought after red carpet designers Sonam & Paras Modi of  Indianwear label “SVA”(who have dressed the likes of Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone, Huma Quereshi and Prachi Desai) now present their synonymously named bridal studio space at Lower Parel, Mumbai.

Born out of a passion for Indian craft & heritage and defined by a strong Indian designscape, Sva presents their first flagship bridal studio at Lower Parel, Mumbai.  This is a space that beautifully showcases the signature styles of Sva:  Intricate detailing, elaborate handcrafting, luxurious fabrics, and exceptional styling.

“Sva” the store spread over two levels has been tastefully designed by Paras Modi himself, with wood, brick and glass to give the space a cutting edge yet warm feel with the studio serving as the perfect backdrop for Sva couture and bridals for men and women. While the menswear section is on the upper level, womenwear has been divided into a bridal lounge for customised appointments and a showcase area for browsing.

Over the last two seasons, since their debut at Lakme Fashion Week in August 2013, Sonam and Paras Modi have slowly but surely carved a niche for their label as one that is associated with contemporary design that celebrates Indian craft-. Their signature Anarkalis, Lehengas and Saris have a loyal fan following, while SVA Kurtas, Bandhgalas and Sherwanis for men have become quite the “must have” garment in any grooms wardrobe.

The vast range of options available at the SVA Studio  make it one of the few destinations in the city that serve as one stop shop for the bride and groom, for all their trousseau requirements, with different options, colours and silhouettes for different occasions, from mehendi to cocktails and sangeet to pheras& reception.

The inaugural collection at the new Sva store is truly a labour of love, amalgamating luxury, tradition with new age design, with a colour palette this season that ranges from bright vermillions,  reds, fuchsias to sunny oranges, canary yellows and deep violets & blues and even nudes and offwhites.

Rich swishing silks, flowy georgettes and chiffon's, beautifully woven brocades, Lucknowi jaals and jamevaars celebrate the innate Indian-ness of the label, while  voluminous lehengas . Sheer flowing anarkalis, fitted long jackets , short kotis and crop tops with lehngas up the glamour quotient and present a new age bridal style statement from the designer duo.
