THE fabled Italian supercar purveyor Ferrari officially revealed a new one-off creation christened the F12 TRS during the annual Ferrari Cavalcade tour in Sicily last weekend.
Based on the brand’s F12berlinetta grand tourer, the F12 TRS was built by Ferrari’s Special Project’s division after an unnamed client commissioned it.
The bespoke exterior design takes cues and inspiration from the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa resulting in its slightly more aggressive outlooks. It also features several other unique features such as the engine lid window, and the dark contrasting wraparound windscreen design.
On board, the cabin has adopted a more minimalist approach and features the use of materials such as Alcantara, leather, and matte black carbon fibre trims.
Ferrari also confirmed that the F12 TRS does not feature the F1-derived kinetic energy recycling system (KERS) fitted in the F12berlinetta base car at the request of the client.
Instead, the F12 TRS harnesses power solely from the base car’s naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V12 engine that develops 730hp and peak torque of 690Nm. The bespoke creation also shares the same performance figures such as the 3.1-second century sprint time and 340km/h top speed.
While Ferrari declined to reveal the costs of the bespoke creation, sources report that the F12 TRS’ owner paid close to US$4.2 million (RM13.54 million) for the build.
