BANGALORE: Aiming to bridge the gap between the formal education system and industry requirements, TimesPro, a brand under the Times Centre for Learning, is growing steadily with 15 centres across the country, and has placed over 600 students in major private banks within a year of operation.
On Thursday, TimesPro will branch out from the banking and financial services industry-related courses it offers and will introduce courses on Finance and Accounting (F&A).
The course will have a dual certification from SAP, the leader in this segment.
Times Centre for Learning Ltd president Deepak Lamba said: “The choice to begin with banking was simple. It’s a lucrative industry with many aspirants, and, thereby, an opportunity for us. We’ve always looked at introducing courses in other industries and the launch of the course in F&A is in line with that.”
So far, over 750 students have enrolled for the Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Management (PGDBM) course, while 450 students have taken up the Modern Banker Program (MBP) started last December tying up with HDFC. Of these, more than 600 have found placements with the highest salary offered being Rs 3.74 lakh per annum.
