Anite Full-Year Earnings Plunge


(dpa-AFX International Compact Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Anite plc (AIE.L), a software provider to the wireless industry, Wednesday reported a fall in annual profit, due mainly to lower revenues and higher fixed costs attributable to the Propsim Channel Emulator product line acquired in January 2013.



For the twelve months to April, pre-tax profit decreased to 8.87 million pounds from 22.05 million pounds last year Profit after tax declined to 12.27 million pounds or 4.1 pence per share, from 19.33 million pounds or 6.3 pence per share a year ago.

Excluding certain items, profit after tax from continuing operations was 11.53 million pounds or 3.9 pence per share, compared with 21.71 million pounds or 7.1 pence per share last year.


Adjusted EBITDA totaled 24 million pounds, compared with 35.5 million pounds a year ago.

Annual revenue decreased slightly to 109.2 million pounds from 113.1 million pounds a year earlier.

The company said its short-term guidance is towards the lower end of a wide range of current market expectations at this early stage of the year.

The board recommended a final dividend of 1.265 pence per share.
