Indie R&B singer makes debut in K-Town

After working in several projects with music icons including AR Rahman, Ranjit Barot, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and Pritam, Indie R&B singer-songwriter, Thomson Andrews, has sung his first Tamil song in Amara Kaaviyam. Ask him how he landed the offer, and he says, ���My first song with Ghibran was for the Telugu movie Run Raja Run. And that���s when he told me about the song Saridhaana Saridhaana from the movie.���
Though Amara Kaaviyam is set in the 80s, Thomson says it wasn���t a difficult task to get the feel of the song as each scene in the song was explained well to him.���It���s a peppy, semi-dance ballad. And we finished the entire recording within two hours,��� he claims.
While he is well known as an R&B singer, Thomson has also been certified by Trinity Guildhall Rock School (London) as a Performing Artist. Says Thomson, ���Now, I give vocal lessons to couple of students mostly on texture, techniques, voice modulation and so on.���
