LAHORE/ KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)  and Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) delegations will take part today (Sunday) in the all parties’ conference (APC) called by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on the killing of 14 PAT workers in Lahore’s Model Town on June 17.

The PTI delegation, to be headed by the party’s vice chairman Shah Mehmood Quershi, will also include the PTI Punjab chief Ejaz Chaudhary and its provincial leader Main Mehmoodur Rashid.

Chaired by PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, the APC will be held at the party’s secretariat and will be attended by delegations of different political and religious parties from across the country.

The PTI delegation will focus on a one-point agenda: demand for the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the arrest of ex- law minister Rana Sanaullah, said Ejaz Chaudhary.

Earlier, the PTI had demanded constituting a joint investigating team, comprising officials of all law enforcing and intelligence agencies to investigate the incident.

“The PTI delegation will also extend an invitation to Qadri for participation in its August 14 march in Islamabad. We will convey a message of Imran Khan to Qadri to express solidarity and sympathy with him,” Chaudhry added.

A five-member delegation of the MQM will also be participating in the APC. The MQM leader Aminul Haque said the PAT leaders, including its chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, had formally invited them to attend the conference.

According to Haque, his party had accepted the invitation and the delegation would be headed by party MNA Rasheed Godil.

Meanwhile, the PAT’s chief spoke to the MQM’s chief Altaf Hussain by telephone and formally invited him for the conference. The two leaders also called for investigations into the incident.

All protégés of Dictator Musharraf are once again flocked under one umbrella. It is time for these blood-suckers to leave us alone! Pakistan is hardly recovered from the wrong doings of the Dictatorship.
