MHOW: A case against ten youths was registered at Kishanganj police station for attacking a police sub inspector Satish Mandiya on the night of June 19 while he was taking stock of riots in Chopati- Karondiya near Pithampur industrial area, which erupted after the murder of an RSS leader Prashant Sharma in Vishwas Nagar colony.
Mandiya, who had suffered injuries in the attack, was discharged from the hospital on Thursday.
His statements were recorded thereafter.
Sub-inspector Ajab Singh Yadav said, "About ten youths armed with sticks, swords, and iron rods attacked him and several others, seriously injuring them. He was rushed to Mhow civil hospital from where he was referred to a hospital in Indore." A case under Sections 353, 147, 148, 332, 506 and 336 of IPC has been registered and investigations are on.
