Boy beaten to death in Ballia by girl's family, FIR against 8

VARANASI: A 16-year-old boy was lynched to death at Burhu village under Garwar police station area in Ballia district on Wednesday night. An FIR was lodged against eight persons, including three girls. However, no arrest has been made so far.
According to reports, Siddharth Singh along with his friend Ajay Rajbhar had gone to meet a girl near an inter college around 10pm.
However, girl's family members saw the duo and started beating Siddharth mercilessly.
Ajay managed to flee and informed Siddharth's family members.
Attackers had fled by the time family members reached the spot and Siddharth had succumbed to injuries.
His uncle Uday Pratap Singh reported the matter to police and lodged an FIR.
He said that Siddharth had gone to meet the girl on her call. She along with her two cousins was there when Siddharth reached the college.
The Garwar police inspector told TOI over phone that FIR was lodged against eight persons, including three female members of the family and two unidentified persons. The matter was being investigated.
