From counting numbers, listing the seven days of the week to using the calender, Bollywood films and songs have done it all. The 'track' record shows that such songs instantly strike a chord with the listeners. Whether it's Jhumma chumma de de or Aaj somvar hai - all of them have been chartbusters. Here's a lowdown on the calender songs...

Saturday: Varun Dhawan and Saturn's day seem to be synonymous with each other. Earlier, this hero complained that he couldn't sleep on Shanivaar rati in Main Tera Hero and now he is chiding his girlfriend for asking him to take her to a party on Saturday! The song from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania has become a rage.

Sunday: Remember a movie called Sunday starring Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi and Ayesha Takia. It even had a song Missing Sunday.. Don't fret if you don't remember because this was a Sunday that people willingly gave a miss!

Monday: Aaj somvar hai... tumko mujhse pyaar hai... teased Rajesh Khanna and succeeded in getting Farida Jalal to admit her love for him in Aradhana!

Tuesday: Somwar ko hum mile mangalwar ko nain, this song from Apnapan describes what happened between love birds Jeetendra and Sulakhsna Pandit through the week and by the end of the week they decided to be together for saat janam!

Wednesday: One of the best films was set bang in the middle of the week i.e Wednesday. Based on the Mumbai train blasts, Neeraj Pandey for reasons best known to him decided to set his movie between 2 pm to 6 pm on a Wednesday. Starring Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher the movie was a sleeper hit.

Thursday: After deconstructing the Wednesday incidents director Neeraj Pandey is ready to tell the world the events that unfolded on a Thursday! Speculation is rife that his next film with Akshay Kumar is titled Thursday!

Friday: The starting of the weekend is a favourite with Bolly makers. From Amitabh Bachchan asking Kimi Katkar for a chumma on Jhumma in Hum to Salman Khan crooning Aaj jhumme ki raat hai, chumme ki baat hai (Kick), Friday has inspired several naughty songs. Then there's Thank God it's Friday, that Sonakshi Sinha crooned as she discoed in Himmatwala. Aaj hai Friday night mein chalun apne friends ke saath.. was Jackie Bhagnani's caller song in Faltu.

Hollywood films on weekdays
If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium was a romantic comedy made in the late '60s about an English tour guide who takes groups of Americans on a 18-day European tour. In the eighties a TV film It's Tuesday, This Still Must Be Belgium was made based on the film.

Any Wednesday was a 1966 romantic comedy starring Jane Fonda who has to decibe between two suitors, one married and one unmarried played by Jason Robards, and Dean Jones. It is based on the hit play of the same name by Muriel Resnik.

A black comedy Thursday starring Aaron Ekhart and Thomas Jane is about drug-dealers, their follies and run-ins with the police.

Friday The 13th is a horror film franchise under which 12 movies were made. There is also a comedy film Friday, which was a hit.

Saturday Night Fever starring dancing sensation John Travolta made him a global icon. The soundtrack of the film, featuring disco songs like Stayin' alive and Night fever, is one of the best-selling soundtracks of all time.

Sunday Bloody Sunday tells the story of a free-spirited young bisexual artist and his simultaneous relationships with a female recruitment consultant and a male Jewish doctor. Saturday Night Sunday Morning was about a man in love with two women! Then there's Bloody Sunday a film about the 1972 bloody Sunday shootings in Derry, Northern Ireland.

Amitabh Bachchan entreated Zeenat Aman Tu maike mat jaiyo crooning how he will miss her through the months from January to December!
Salman Khan and Asin expressed their love for each other singing Barah mahine me barah tareeke se tujh ko pyar jataaunga in London Dreams.

Rocky road trip
Some some intense bro-mance seems to be brewing between Amit Sadh and Arshad Warsi. These co-stars have become buddiesand they share similar interests too. Amit and Arshad are planning a road trip ?on bikes, from Delhi to? Leh? in August. Arshad is helping Amit to choose a bike. He says, "Arshad bhai is like a brother to me, and the both of us have been planning a road trip for a very long time. We got along the minute we started work for Guddu Rangeela, and have kept in touch since. This trip might have happened sooner had I not injured myself, but none the less; he's helping me buy a bike and then we take off hopefully really soon. This is going to be an exciting trip." Seems like Circuit has found himself another Munnabhai.

Friends or something more?
Himesh Reshammiya these days is busy promoting his Expose co-star Zoya Afroz to stars like Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, and Ajay Devgn. Says a source, "Himesh is impressed with Zoya's work and recommending her to everybody. They have even been attending events together. Buzz is Himesh is quite enamoured with her." Well. lets see if Himesh repeats her in the sequel to Expose (we are hoping there isn't one!

Kangana Ranaut spent a lot of time in Europe shooting for her film Queen. Now she is set to go back to Europe on her own. The actress loves to travel on her own. Incognito and without an entourage. Dutts support Manaayata
There was a time when there was stress between Sanjay Dutt's wife Manaayata and his sisters Priya and Namrata. But with Dutt serving his sentence, the Dutt sisters have formed a protective block, around Maana and her children. Says a source, "Both the sisters make it a point to connect with Maana regularly and ensure she doesn't lack anything in any way. She is also running the production house so they make sure ever the children Shahraan and Iqra are also looked after and even babysit them when Maana is gets delayed while coming home from work. The children too are extremely fond of their maasis. It's an ideal arrangement that suits everyone." It is all about loving the family after all.
