    Emptied your pockets at: A very indulgent 2 week trip to Las Vegas, New York and New Orleans.

    Panoramic views: Standing on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

    Best Drive: A six month drive around my own country, Australia.

    Gourmet delight: Anything with chocolate.

    Gourmet gaffes: My first trip within India was to Vijayawada, where I quickly learnt that the food was too spicy for my palette.

    Street food surprises: In Beijing there is the choice of Spiders, Bat, Centipedes, Starfish, Scorpion. I ate the deep fried banana.

    Best bar: Daily Waters Pub in outback Australia. You do have to travel half a day from the nearest town to get there, but it serves a good beer.

    Bazaar bargains: My wife found a beautiful old Japanese Ice Cart in the corner of a second hand furniture shop. It is now our coffee table and everyone who sees it falls in love with it.

    Goofy traveler moment: When my wife and children were coming to meet me in Mumbai, they jumped on a wrong bus at Bangalore airport and ended up at a plane that was headed to Chennai.

    Traveler tips: If you have your passport and wallet, everything will be fine.
