Bel-Air man finds wife in overturned car, has their picture taken
A Bel-Air couple’s photo -- the wife in an overturned car and her husband standing alongside the car outside their home -- is generating attention after it was posted online.
The photo shows Benjamin Neufeld posing outside the flipped blue Honda car while his 85-year-old wife, Elizabeth Neufeld, is still in the driver’s seat.
Benjamin Neufeld told KTLA he was inside his home kitchen when he heard a fuss outside.
He went outside and found his wife’s car flipped on its side. She was still inside the car unharmed, a group of people gathered around the scene.
“There was my wife in her car, calm as a cucumber, and eventually they fished her out,” he told KTLA.
Her car had apparently flipped over after hitting a curb as she backed out of their driveway.
Soon after, firefighters and a tow truck arrived to take the car away, but not before a passerby snapped some photos of the couple.
