TBILISI, June 25 -- Hou Yifan of China on Wednesday beat Antoaneta Stefanova from Bulgaria to extend her sole lead at the current 2013-2014 FIDE women's grand prix fifth and penultimate leg by a full point to 4.5 points from five rounds.

The first free day of the Lopota tournament in Georgia seemed to have slowed down Harika Dronavalli of India as she managed a draw from Georgian player Bela Khotenashvili.

Ju Wenjun and Nana Dzagnidze from China and from Georgia respectively, however, kept their momentum by adding a full point from Wednesday's fifth rounder to trail world champion Hou Yifan by half a point at 4 points each.

Alexandra Kosteniuk from Russia and Armenia's Elina Danielian on Wednesday fought out a grand prix record of 133 moves before pulling off with half a point each for a lengthy draw-out.

On the next game day, Georgian player Nana Dzagnidze may have a chance to pull even with leader Hou Yifan who plays Ju Wenjun also of China while Nana Dzagnidze's opponent will be the weaker of the Chinese women trio, Zhao Xue, who is currently staying low with just one point at the Lopota Tournament.
