Jammu, June 25: Directed by Rahat Kazami, the young director from Surankot, the Bollywood film ‘Identity Card’, is all set for world wide release on next Sunday, August 29, 2014.
The Kashmir based film has already earned raving reviews in film festivals and special screenings in foreign countries like Canada, Germany and UK, is based on stars veteran actors like national award winner Saurabh Shukla, Raghubir Yadav, Vipin Sharma, Brijendra Kala and uprising Tia Bajpai, Furqan Merchant, Shoib Kazmi, Prashantt Gupta and very talented Manini Mishra is a guest appearance.
Produced by Rahat Kazami Films, Amarchand Motion Pictures, Films and Reels Production Pvt. Ltd. and Helping Hand Film, Identity Card has been co-produced by a Tariq Khan, again from Surankot, Poonch.
Talking to EXCELSIOR, Rahat Kazami, said that encouraged by the critical appreciation of ‘Identity Card’ in the international press, we are going for world wide release of film on August 29, 2014, in association with Red Crush, a South African Film Distribution Company, in countries like Afghanistan, Iran, Canada, Germany, UK and others. While for release of the film in India, we have collaborated with international corporate house of UK, ‘Blue Sapphire Films Limited. Another international company Media Mark from Canada is associated with the company as associate producers.
Before the theatrical release of film its pre-release press screenings are scheduled in Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and Mumbai. Rahat Kazami said that since he and Tariq Khan are Jammu and Kashmir, they have an emotional connection with soil of state and that’s the reason that ‘Identity Card’ will be be release and screened for general public in almost all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
From making of short films and documentaries for Doordarshan and Ad films in Jammu to establish a place in Bollywood, has certainly been a achievement for Rahat Kazami. He had made his Bollywood debut by directing a feature film ‘Dekh Re Dekh’ with actors like Gracy Singh, Sidharth Koirela, Raghuvir Yadav and Vijay Raaz. Which was followed other film ‘Impatient Vivek’.
Rahat Kazami, recently shot in Jammu, his latest film ‘Sarkari Joota’ that features actors like Raghuvir Yadav, Varinder Saxsena, Dolly Aluwalia, Manini Dey etc.
