25 Congressmen booked for 'rail roko' protest

BHOPAL: Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Bhopal division had lodged an FIR against 25 people, including former Congress MLA P C Sharma and 24 others for staging rail roko agitation on June 22 to protest against proposed hike in railway passenger and freight charges.
Commandant RPF Vijay Kumar Khatarkar confirmed to TOI, "An FIR has been lodged against 25 persons including P C Sharma under section 174 and 147 of the Railways Act." On Sunday, a team led by former Congress MLA P C Sharma had reached near Barkhedi crossing in Aishbagh and stopped LTT-bound Kamayani Express for around half an hour after their attempts were foiled by the RPF at Habibganj station, who had barricaded the area.Leader of opposition Satya Dev Katare had also staged a dharna at the station after they were refused entry by the RPF.
