Students failed in PMT, still booked for fraud
BHOPAL: Problem seems to be unending for few students, who tried a shot at state's pre-medical test and failed to crack it. They still have been booked by Special Task Force (STF) for using unfair means in examinations and are under detention in state capital.
Among the students arrested from across the state in the last week there are several students who could not crack the 2013 medical entrance.

Father of a student, from Dhar who is among the 6, picked up from Dhar on June 17 told TOI on condition of anonymity, "Forget clearing PMT, my son would have been among the last in the PMT merit list having secured just 61 marks out of 200, still he was picked up by STF on June 17. He has been in jail for about a week, now. "
"He lived in Indore and prepared for entrance his test and currently he doing a diploma course in anaesthesia from a private college. If he used fraudulent means then why did he fail ?," asked the father, who is stranded in Bhopal for last week trying to secure a bail for his son.
Its not only my son, but five out of the six students who were picked up along with him had failed to clear PMT 2013, he said.
They have been picked up primarily because they received calls from agents regarding admission. Even I get a lot of marketing calls for admission, how can one differentiate whether it is tout or a genuine firm, he said.
Similarly one of the girl students, a resident of Ashoknagar, was picked up from Kota, Rajasthan where she was studying on June 17. She failed in pre-medical test and was preparing for this year's test. She was arrested by officials who said she would be interrogated, but now it's been a week she has been in jail, kin of student told TOI.
