Kalaam claims second position in corporate telecoms [TeleGeography CommsUpdate](TeleGeography CommsUpdate Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Kalaam Telecom has pronounced itself to be Bahrain's second largest corporate service provider behind Batelco, following the completion of its acquisition of rival altnet Lightspeed, reports TradeArabia. Kalaam confirmed in a statement that it now has a client base of more than 4,000 businesses across all segments, while CEO Veer Passi added that the merger with Lightspeed has brought significant synergies, primarily in network/ICT infrastructure. He stated: 'One of the major challenges for corporate customers is to ensure business continuity for critical-mission operations. Now Kalaam with its combined infrastructure i.e. dual tier-3 data centres and diversified backbone can provide near 100% service uptime and guaranteed service levels.
